iCloud is Increasing Subscription Prices in Several Countries

iCloud Subscription Price Increase

Apple has announced that it will raise the subscription prices for iCloud in several countries starting October 9, 2024. In an email sent to iCloud subscribers, Apple confirmed that the new prices would automatically apply to renewals beginning on October 10.

You can avoid the new rates by canceling your subscriptions at least one day before the renewal date.

The price increase varies depending on local currencies. In Indonesia, the iCloud subscription will rise from 45,000 IDR to 49,000 IDR. In Turkey, the cost will almost double, going from 39.99 TRY to 79.9 TRY. Meanwhile, users in the Philippines will see an increase from 499 PHP to 599 PHP and in Nigeria from, 4,900 to 9,900 Naira.

Who Is Affected?

The price hikes primarily affect iCloud users in parts of Africa, Europe and Asia. Subscribers in the Philippines, Nigeria, Thailand, Indonesia, and Turkey have already received emails about the upcoming changes.

As of now, the subscription prices in the United States remain unchanged.

Apple is likely making the changes to maintain consistent profit margins across different markets due to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates in the affected countries.
