Netcup Update on Hosting Price Increase due to Memory Shortage

NetCup update shared via their forum on hosting price increase that will affect VPS, storage, and root servers starting May 1, 2026. Below is a screenshot of the announcement.

Netcup’s existing contracts will go up by 18.51%, meaning that a service that previously cost €100 will now cost €118.51, an increase of €18.51. New contracts will increase by a higher margin of 24.33%, so a €100 service becomes €124.33, adding €24.33. Storage services (both existing and new) will rise by 21.52%, meaning €100 becomes €121.52, an increase of €21.52.

For specific products, the VPS 500 G12 price will increase from €4.09 to €4.85, which is a monthly rise of €0.76. The VPS 1000 G12 will go from €7.10 to €8.41, increasing by €1.31 per month. The RS 1000 G12 will rise from €8.74 to €10.36, which is an increase of €1.62 per month.

Netcup says the price increase is due to a rise in memory cost. They particularly mention in the announcement that suppliers demanded a triple-digit percentage surcharge to secure server orders.
