Zola is Increasing Subscription Price for Wedding Vendors

Zola Subscription Price Increase

Zola has announced that it will increase its subscription price for vendors from $90 to $255, effective October 17, 2024. This is according to an email notice sent to some vendors.

The price hike varies but applies to a wide range of vendors, including event space owners, photographers, florists, musicians, videographers, wedding planners, cake designers, and beauty professionals—essentially anyone involved in the business of weddings.

For couples planning their wedding, Zola remains free to use. It’s also free for businesses to create a profile. However, vendors are required to pay for credits to respond to inquiries from potential clients. Vendors must also pay additional fees for “featured spots” to ensure their listings appear on top. If you do not pay for the premium spots, it will be harder for clients to find you.

While the increase in subscription fees has drawn attention, it isn’t the price itself that frustrates many vendors. The real issue, according to several vendors’ feedback on social media, is the declining value they feel they’re getting for their money. Many have reported receiving fewer or lower-quality leads over time, which makes it harder to justify the expense.

Info: The subscription price mentioned above is for 3 months.
